Hi, I’m Aliza…I’m excited to continue my career as a product designer in Edtech. 10 reasons why I’d make a great addition to your team:

I get the design process. I’ve even taught it to others for 15 years. I’m passionate about design thinking and believe its best way to solve problems and create digital products that will benefit people.

I understand how schools work, I’ve worked in public and private schools with kids ages 2-18.

I empathize with our users, and with people in general.  I did spend 15 years in the classroom using a variety of different digital tools with and for my students.  I know what a teacher’s day to day motivations, goals and struggles are, what they’ll bother with and what they won’t.

I understand the way humans learn. I have tons of practice breaking down complex information into chunks that people can digest.

I am motivated, I approach design work with determination and diligence and I want to grow with you.

I am a leader. I planned and led several Professional Development workshops for about 80 people and worked with a team of people to do it.

I am an objective interviewer.  As a teacher I consistently had to “interview” students without leading them to an answer to assess what they knew.  I can interview most anyone with objectivity and warmth.

I believe in education.  Actually, I think the system needs to be improved, but learning is power and that is one of my core values.

I am a lifelong learner. If I am challenged by something I always seek to understand and build my skills and knowledge.

Creativity is my jam. I’ve been a visual artist for 20 years and have a refined eye for visual design.
